TramCité

TramCité

The Government of Québec, Ville de Québec and CDPQ Infra have launched the planning phase for the TramCité project, a new 19-km modern tramway system. It will become the backbone of mobility in the Québec City region and will connect easily and efficiently to other modes of transportation. High-frequency service and comfortable cars will improve the quality of public transit throughout the city.

  • Le Gendre (Cap-Rouge)
  • Sainte-Foy
  • Université Laval
  • Colline Parlementaire
  • Saint-Roch
  • Charlesbourg

The tramway will optimize travel flow and shorten travel times for public transit passengers.

In addition, TramCité is a unique opportunity for the greater Québec City area to meet the following objectives:

  • Accelerate real estate development
  • Boost productivity and employment
  • Generate major economic benefits

Many cities around the world have successfully implemented a modern tramway system. TramCité will seamlessly become part of the fabric of each community it serves.
